Tour Overview

A comprehensive South Indian study program. Covers the tea plantations of Munnar, tiger conservation at Periyar, traditional backwater farming, and maritime networks in Fort Kochi.

Day 1: Departure

Board the train from Mumbai to Ernakulam. Onboard meals and overnight train journey.

Day 2: Munnar Western Ghats

Arrival at Ernakulam. Direct transfer to Munnar hill station. Stop at Cheeyappara Water Falls and Munnar Rose Garden. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 3: Tea Production & Eravikulam

Visit Eravikulam National Park (focus on Nilgiri Tahr conservation), Munnar Tea Museum & Factory (study leaf processing), and Mattupetty Dam. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 4: Thekkady Wildlife & Spices

Transfer to Thekkady. Guide-led visit to a local Spice Plantation (cardamom, pepper, vanilla). Evening visit to Periyar Tiger Reserve and witness a Kalaripayattu martial arts demonstration. Overnight in Thekkady.

Day 5: Alleppey Houseboat Backwaters

Drive to Alleppey. Embark on a private group houseboat cruise to study backwater ecosystems. Visit Pineapple farms and Coir Museum. Overnight in Houseboat / Hotel.

Day 6: Kochi Port & Naval Maritime Museum

Transfer to Kochi. Visit Mattancherry Palace (Dutch architecture), the Indian Naval Maritime Museum, Fort Kochi, and study the operational mechanics of Chinese Fishing Nets. Overnight in Kochi.

Day 7: Hill Palace Museum & Departure

Visit the Hill Palace Museum (largest archeological museum in Kerala). Board the return train at Ernakulam station. Overnight in train.

Day 8: Arrival

Arrival back at Mumbai railway station with package meals included.

Important Booking Terms

Group Size: This package is structured for groups of 90 to 100 in Number.
Accompanying Staff: 6 Teachers accompany the group free of charge (13:1 student-to-teacher ratio cost included).
Uniforms: School / College uniforms are necessary to wear during the main day of the Study tour for identification.
Hotels & Transport: Deluxe and basic 3 Star hotels will be provided (triple or quad sharing). AC buses are used for all local transport.
Documentation: ID Cards of all members are mandatory. All documentation is handled jointly by the company and the institute.

Payment Schedule

50% of the land package amount required to book the package.
Railway or Air Ticket amount must be paid in full in advance.
45% of the land package amount must be paid 15 days before the tour.
5% balance amount shall be made within 7 working days post completing the trip.
